Thank you sisters for doing your visiting teaching in July. We had 100 of our 120 sisters visited. I found a quote by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin that I would like to share with you. "Most of us don't mind doing what we ought to do when it doesn't interfere with what we want to do, but it takes discipline and maturity to do what we ought to do whether we want to or not." Thank you for your commitment to Relief Society and to the Lord.

Playgroup for Friday, August 3rd
Good morning sisters! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. With
me still being out of town, I thought we could do another park day
because that seems to be a fun and easy activity:). Let's meet on Friday, at 10:00am at the
park off of Mille Lacs Dr. and Indigo Sky Way. It is a great sand park
with a lot of fun slides and toys.
Have a great day!

Relief Society Lesson Sunday December 4
LDS Women Are Incredible - May 2011 Ensign - talk by Elder Quentin L. Cook
We'd like to thank the Young Women for joining us on Sunday and for making Relief Society extra special. We'd also like to thank you for leading us in the Young Women theme.
LDS women really are incredible. Women have enthusiasm and love to help ward families. We can be a quiet example of living the gospel. What would someone find if they came upon our handbag and had to do a little bit of searching to discover the identity of who owned the purse? Would they find things that would tell them that we are a quiet example of being a virtuous and upstanding LDS woman?
The way we face trials and challenges of life is another thing that makes us incredible. Women can help the sick and the feeble, the poor and the needy, people in need of a spiritual uplifting.
President Gordon B. Hinkley stated that we need to "...labor in the vineyard for the work of salvation." We can be member missionaries, activate the less actives, do temple work and family history, and care for the poor and needy. In order to do these things, we need to be open to opportunities to serve the Lord. We can also do these things through Visiting Teaching!
Lift, strengthen, and fortify our fellow sisters. Be uplifting and kind. Be friends with the women in the ward.
The Lord loves us and knows us. We are not perfect, but he loves us, blesses us, and challenges us for who we are.
Thank you Cindee Bailey for your wonderful lesson. I would like to add my testimony to hers, that the Lord does in fact know each and every one of us, and he loves us. He has entrusted women with a great and sometimes overwhelming task. We are nurturers, and caretakers. Rely on the Lord, and he will give you the strength and serve others. What a great message for this time of year, when life is extra hectic, and we sometimes feel inadequate. In the midst of all the hubbub and craziness of the season, take a moment to remember the true reason for Christmas, and that we are all truly amazing! Merry Christmas sisters!
